REMEDY OF THE DAY: NABALUS Nabalus serpentarious. Prenanthes serpentaria, White lettuce, Rattlesnake-root, Lion's foot, Gall of earth, cancer weed, etc. Tincture made of all fresh flower. It is said to be antidote to the bite of the rattlesnake, and other poisonous serpents. The milky juice of the plant, is taken internally while the steeped in water(leaves) are to be applied to the wound, and or decoction of the root used also for rattle snake bite and dysentery.
