Dr. Pierre Schmidt gives us a few tips on how to take a case.

  1. Avoid direct questions.

  2. Never ask a question putting an answer, so to say, in to the patients's mouth thus making sure not to bias his answer.

  3. Avoid all questions when the patient is obliged to choose between different alternatives and respect the rule to leave the patient always his own choice.

Seek urgent care if:
  • Severe symptoms should be assessed by a qualified clinician
  • Breathing difficulty, chest pain, or neurological symptoms need urgent care
