Laren Chiten - Just One Drop

I was suffering from a chronic illness for which conventional medicine was of no help. I went to see an MD who exclusively practiced homeopathy. I was skeptical but didn’t know what else to do. That appointment changed my life. His love and passion for this controversial medicine inspired me to make this film.
Does this make me a homeopathy zealot? No. I still reserve more than an ounce of skepticism. Am I 100% cured from what ails me? No. But I am better. I also have experienced how complex and complicated homeopathy is. It is not always an easy fix. With that said, I have seen and heard from countless people whose lives have been transformed by this system of medicine.
Over the seven years of working on this film, I have learned quite a bit. It has influenced how I look at both medicine and healing. I have also witnessed first hand a lot of prejudice and misinformation about homeopathy. Often people’s reaction to me when I tell them I am making a film about homeopathy, has been either dismissive, or it inspired anger.
I am fascinated by homeopathy, and even more fascinated by those who fight against it. The skeptics will claim that homeopathy is nothing more than the placebo effect. Do I think this is possible? Possible, yes. Probable, no. Placebo does not explain the myriad cures I have seen in animals, babies, even plants.
Moreover, I know many people who are suffering from both chronic conditions or frequent self-limiting illnesses. They won’t even consider seeing a homeopath because they either don’t know anything about homeopathy or have been influenced by the media that it is just placebo.
I’m passionate about getting this story out to the public, to clarify misconceptions, let the public know what homeopathy is, so people can make up their own minds.

  1. I’m in love for homeopathy and for her too! JUST ONE DROP will surely be a success!
