Debbie Moore - collect / Still in Leopard print OBE, founder of Pineapple Dance Studios Debbie Moore was the first woman to list her company on the London Stock Exchange, nears her 70th birthday.

She relies on homeopathic medicine – and has done for 50 years – because she believes that ’more 90 percent of illnesses are triggered by some emotional trauma that you have to clear from your life otherwise, even if you take medicine, the illness will keep coming back’.

The dancer has also cut sugar out of her diet due to her belief that it increases her risk of developing cancer.

She said: ‘Sugar is the worst thing. Sugar feeds cancer. Cancer can’t live without sugar and when they are looking for it they use a sugar drip.

‘It is huge and everybody should know if you have got a history of it in your family, they should cut sugar out. You can have nice honey in your drink instead.’

Moore was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2010 New Year Honours.
